Sunny, Cloudy

Saturday was mostly sunny.

Sunday was not.
That pretty much sums up the weekend. Not much going on around the yard (although, admittedly, I was a bit lazy the past few days).

(The second photo is an upside down reflection in the river.)

Added later, after receiving some comments. This is the river, right side up.
Upside down, the reflection and curve of the bank create an optical illusion of more topography than really exists. These two images feel completely different to me, though they're identical. Perhaps I should stand on my head more often.

It was a perfect weekend to be lazy Jain...I was too!

Whew. Glad to hear it, Wanda. Glad it wasn't just me.

I wish you increased energy and abundant wildlife sightings in the coming week!

Oooh, I love that reflection shot! By the way, I meant to mention when I commented last time that I saw that you mention Dead Can Dance in your list of favorite music - I love them, too. I was introduced to them by my Residence Assistant during my freshman year of college, and I am so glad for it!

...you made me chuckle. Same for us down here in southwest Ohio! I would never have know the second photo was a reflection...very cool!

Great pictures. That sure was a piece of quiet water.

Odd... The weekend here was the same: sunny on Saturday and cloudy on Sunday (with rain thrown in later). Oh, and it was a nice lazy weekend as well. Sounds like we all had the same idea!

Very welcoming shots, Jain. I especially like the reflection. What a great capture that one is. Beautiful use of a simple trick!

Well, Saturday it was sunny, as it had been Thursday and Friday, and at least a couple of days before that…and as it also was part of yesterday, before it became cloudy as it is today, though it was warmer than today which is cooler.

Man, that's a lot of weather reporting! Surely we who live on stream banks (sounds like Tonto talking, huh?) can find more to write about than weather.

Then again…maybe not.

I was so lazy yesterday I didn't even turn the computer on. Just lazed. Sometimes, you just can't beat a good laze…

Glad you liked the reflection! I looked at it some more, and some more, and finally posted a reverse image of it below the first.

How funny that so many of us were, um, mellow at the same time. Planetary alignment, ya think? A band of low pressure over all of our yards? Did we all inhale the same pixie dust?

Scribe, you’re verbose enough there to have a weather gig on the evening news. :o)

Heather, it’s nice to meet another DCD devotee. I never tire of them, brilliant, beyond brilliant! I haven’t caught on to Lisa and Brendan individually; I think they were magic together.

Beautiful reflection picture Janet! It just occured to me I'll be able to see your river in person in only six month time :-))

Jain said...

It should look pretty familiar to you by then, Red Robin! We're so looking forward to your visit!

I love these reflection photos! Looks like a "moody" day!

Jain said...

Thanks, Shelly! They're kind of cheap shots, photographically speaking, so you may be seeing more of them. ;)

Lovely shots. I love using the water.
Snow bunny, hmmmm! :-)
I'm just glad I don't have yard duty any more. And love being outdoors on my own time, on my own schedule!
