It seems like ages since I've seen the sun. But it was momentarily caught by this Sweet Gum leaf Saturday evening (impaled upright in the floorboards of the dock) and I stopped in my tracks till the shadows came and took it away.
Lovely moment I can relate to. A week or so ago I found a leaf wedged between two trees growned tightly together. Just enough space for that leaf to get stuck between their bark!
Nice image...and nice to have you back! We've been having much more sun here in the northern Mid-Atlantic than you have--sunny days alternating with partly cloudy ones. The soil's frozen like a rock, though.
You have to catch the sun when you can. This certainly has been a gray winter. The sun stays about 3days out in the long range forecast, but we never seem to catch up to it. I guess this will make the sunny days of spring seem that much more magnificent.
...beautiful. It's amazing how beautiful a single leaf can be when you slow down and study it. Love this one. It's snowing like crazy here. At least tomorrow will be white instead of grey. I'm starting to get tired of the grey.............not complaining, just ready for either white snow or green grass!
