Fat Boy, High Goose, and Signs of Spring

The bench has moved from the riverbank to the pond
but that's the most dramatic change so far this Spring.

The Virginia Bluebells are still hangin' out, waiting for a little more warmth.

Paw paw flower buds are right where we left them two weeks ago, though the leaf buds have peeked out.

Jacob's Ladder leaves are a rare bit of green in the yard.

Spring Beauty and Dutchman's Breeches leaves are up.

It's unusual to look up, rather than down, on a goose, unless she's flying high in the sky.
It's unclear if this ol' Locust snag is hollow or not but a Canada Goose is being protective of the area. Could it be a nest site?

During an early morning walk along the riverbank, a large, dark form caught my eye.
It was the biggest Beaver I've seen, having breakfast on the Corn-er. If I'd known he was dining, I'd have taken an extra mug of coffee with me.

The End.

How delightful! We're just warming up. Not much to see here. Lots of drab brown leaves and grass.
Soon....

Hi Jain...looks like things are not moving forward very fast!!
Things here are very slow ...10 inches of snow last Friday and a loss of eletricity and internet for over 12 hours!!
Hope we both get some better weather soon!!
