We dug through last year's leaves to find
Mayapple shoots and

Virginia Bluebell sprouts.

Hi from Val and thanks for your comment on the blog!This is a really lovley blog and I think we share some interests! I am fascinated by the skunk cabbage and have not come across any yet.It is lovely to see these wintery and new growth shots..something I miss..just a little from the UK.

No bluebells here yet, though we also likely have shoots under the duff. But soon…SOON!

Hi Val, we do, indeed share some interests. I started this blog to track what goes on around the yard from year to year, but I'm so enjoying reading blogs like yours and Scribe's. So well-written and such sumptuous images! This is quickly becoming my main source of indoor entertainment.
