Bankside bench in the shadow of the Sycamores

We planted marigolds around the perimeter of the garden last weekend. Lettuces, spinach, radishes, turnips, and peas are up. Hooray!

I can imagine the peaceful moments you have on your bench by the river bank.

Hi, Wanda,

Well... not yet. We got it yesterday and it rained today.

But I'm hopeful there will be lots of reflective moments spent there. O, my mate, is great at sitting still and appreciating everything around him. Me, I squirm and worry about things I should have done or should be doing instead. I hope this is a magic bench that allows me to sit still and soak up Nature!

Thank you for your kind comment Jain...the tree towering over the mushroom is a Bitternut Hickory...it along with
Shagbark Hickory and Mockernut Hickory provide lots of nuts for the too numerous squirrels...they have it too easy I think...Thank you for following...I will be spending lots of time here too..I take photos of so many similar things...Wild Ginger blossoms...Locust thorns...Dolls Eyes etc.etc...Take care!

We are so far from planting anything but pansies!

Thanks for the fan comment! I have a couple of videos with Schroer's music. Here is one for the Hospice fundraiser I attended. The Butterfly Ball. Oliver died last year, as I recall. But he spent much time teaching kids, travelling and his funeral was a powerful event. Good luck with the music.

Oh, sorry, Jenn! I didn't mean to delete your second message -- I just realized I can't approve more than one message at a time for publication. :o(
