This is Twin Lakes, just north of Columbus in October, 2009,
This is our river, looking downstream after a light rain this weekend.
The gravel bar is underwater most of the year.
Looking upstream, you can see the house on the river's bend.
It's hard to fathom the riverbed filling to the point of flooding, but it has, and it will again.

I am occasionally moved to write bad haiku. This came to me while sitting by an open window.
Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!
Skittering through leaves
Squirrel feet
Please feel free to get your revenge by posting your own seasonal haiku in Comments.

Hi Jain...I can get real haiku when my head doesn't hurt!
Picture are very nice fall ones but also sad that it is so dry!
Your haiku is real haiku LOL : }
Your photos of Twin Lakes are dramatic, Jain and I am so familiar with the sound of squirrels scurrying through the leaves.
It was a dry summer and now autumn is the same, but it makes leaf raking easier, which I'll be doing today!
Lack of rain
Dried Autumn flowers
All is brown!
Enjoy Autumn Jain!
Fall is definitely my favorite season. And the crunching sound of dead leaves underfoot - love it!
