No stories to tell nor exceptional photos but this blogging thing has become a habit so here are a few snaps from the past week.

Morning sky

Bright green greenbriar climbs hot pink Eastern Wahoo, so colorful against the browns and grays.

Blackgum leaf after the rain
Fierce storms in the Midwest this week raced through our area without much fuss, dropping 3/4" of much needed rain.

As wind blows and leaves fall, the view opens.

Hi Jain ...isn't there a saying "that a picture is worth a thousand words" or something like that.lol
The morning sky picture is very pretty enlarged. The grass in front just glows!!
Hope all is well with you!!

That last photo is lovely with the reflections in the water.

Hey, Jain, I missed hearing from you--even if it was just a few nice images. I guess this "blog reading thing" is addictive, too. Is the "Morning Sky" image an agricultural field or a marsh? And, if it's a marsh, is the grass Phragmites?

Our view has opened too, after that fierce storm!

Hi Grammie, you're right! If a pic is worth a thousand words, I posted 4,000 words. Glad you liked the photo and hope you're feeling better!

Thank you, leavesnbloom!

Scott, it's an ag field (wheat, perhaps? [My ancestors were farmers but "civilization" caught up with me in my generation]) across the road from the house. Some of the farmer's plantings are organic; don't know if this one is or not. Phragmites would keep me awake at night!
Yes, blog reading is addictive, it's become my main source of entertainment, just sorry that I don't have time to comment on every post from every one that I enjoy.

Wanda, did the storm hit you hard? It was intense -- I expected many broken limbs and downed trees -- but it came through too fast to do any real damage.
