Dock 'n' Flowers

O called me to the window to see a Carolina Wren showing her fledglings around the yard. The only thing sweeter than wrensong is wrensong x 5. While we were there, we saw a Black-and-White Warbler working his way up the Kentucky Coffeetree, and the first Red-throated Hummingbird of the year came to the feeder. It was the best 2 minutes of an otherwise fine but wet weekend.

Amish carpenter friends came over yesterday to build a deck in the side yard. Since the river comes up high in this part of the yard, we've decided to call it the Dock. We'll spend a lot of time there and it should make a fine stage for summer house concerts.
And now for some spring wildflowers:
Large-flowered Bellwort

Wild Ginger

Juneberry flowers

Jack-in-the-Pulpit

Wild Ginger leaves
